After Basics, you can take CGC (Canine Good Citizen)

CGC (Canine Good Citizen) $95.00
One-hour, 6-week class
CGC is a
certification program that is designed to reward dogs who have good
manners at home and in the community.
There are 10 exercises
that the dog must perform and pass in order to get certified.
If you have ever wanted to do community services such as visiting
nursing homes or hospitals, this class and certification is a MUST!
The
CGC Test is given at the last class; students that pass are welcome
to join our Community Visiting Team: Tails of Joy!
Rally-O
(Level 1) $125.00
One-hour, 6 week class
This class will teach dogs’ attention heeling,
sit, down, stand, stay, recall, and any other skill requirements for
Rally-O. Practice all the exercise signs for Level 1* Rally
courses. This class is for handlers and dogs no matter what
your goals are - for fun or to polish-up for competition. Dogs should already have basic obedience
training (verbal control commands: sit, down, come, stay, heel,
stand and loose leash manners). Rules and information for APDT signs will
be presented.
*Level 2 &
3 signs will be introduced as needed; no jumps will be done in this
class; but techniques for training jumps will be discussed.
Prerequisite – Basics, CGC or
Instructor approval.
Traveling
Teams (Summer
Class Only)
$70.00
One-hour, 4-week class
Limited to 4 teams
Ready
for the challenges of the outside world?! Then the Traveling Teams
class is for you! You and your dog will meet with a K9 Coach at
different locations to work your training skills in a real-life
environment and situation. Each week we will meet somewhere new and
work on getting our dogs comfortable with doing basic commands in new
environments.
Weather
permitting will put us indoors or outdoors. For outdoor work, a
long-line is recommended and can be purchased from K9 Coaches.
Prerequisite –
Basics, CGC, or Instructor approval.
Potential destinations: Pet store, Park setting, Vet’s office, Outside
café
